burnin the midnight oil
Better get it right the first time:)
Tony's great, he's working on a master's in counseling part-time and wrote his first essay in 2 1/2 decades.........he wouldn't let us read his esaay:)

The Murder Mystery was a happenin' good time! I was Captain Ratcliffe, the man about town. Let's just say I was kind of a big deal for the evening.
Kate was a widow in mourning because someone had killed her husband. A side note, I was supposed to look like I was from 1899, though I think my mustache look ended up going the 70's burt reynolds route. We had 40 show up for our party and had a blast!
It's been several months since we arrived, and we've already felt like the Lord is allowing us to have such incredible friends. We're all in this together and I'm sensing this ethos that we keep wanting to emulate is beginning to take shape.
Half the people there had never been to Eikon, but it didn't matter. Everyone seemed to interact very naturally. It was such a great way to break the ice, especially with the friends that Kate and I have connected with so much. Tony got up and less than briefly shared about Eikon and to check us out sometime.

We love this city so much. Kate and I keep telling each other that we're more pumped than ever to be here and building this ministry with the people the Lord has given this small-group church, as we like to call it.Keep praying for this ministry. We're going to say it all the time, but all you supporters out there: we can't thank you enough for investing in us and Eikon. Maybe it's just this time of the year that allows us to reflect, but we've continued to be blown away by how many people are behind this ministry.
