settlers

rules! It's been a while since we sat with people, playing games at our dinner table with our great view of the Mile.

From this past May until August, we were going non-stop with people coming and going. It sort of wore us out to be honest, so from September until now, we've kind of stepped back a bit to spend more time with one another and allow for a little more privacy.

Well, we're definitely back to the schmidgall hostel. It's fun, I've missed letting our flat be a revolving door. This time we may have a hall monitor though:)

Had Joe, Dave and Ross over this afternoon for some Settlers. They are student leaders up in Aberdeen. Love these guys. This is a cult classic, by far our favorite board game.

Coincidently, Dave is from outside Glasgow and met Erin when Calvary Naperville team was over in Aberdeen last year. They're now engaged and he'll be getting married in Naperville in July. Small world.

As usual, I won.

wow. That looks like dj espionage in the corner with his hand to his chin. But if he were there, there would have been another game winner . . .

Hey guys, I've been reading your blog daily since I returned home from our trip in July. You both have been on my mind and in my prayers constantly along with Eikon and edinburgh in general. The time I had there with you has changed my life incredibly and I want you to know that I feel God has blessed me by letting me go to Scotland and by meeting you. I don't know if you realize the impact you are having on people, not just in Scotland, but around the world. Let me first say thank you for answering God's call on your lives daily, but also let me just tell you that I am proud of you for taking what God has given you (talents, heritage, support, etc.) and using it for his glory. I miss you both and wish daily that I can make a return trip to be apart of what you are doing there. Sorry I took so long to contact you but Dave I finally had to say something when I read the words "as usual" because I do recall one late night back in July when someone else came out on top; remember.
Love in Christ,

Dave, I currently don't have access to a computer at home, however my email address at school is GMahaney@washloc.k12.oh.us

I do check it daily. It's awesome to see that you are making good use of the Forest. It makes the time we had there seem even more benefitcial.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

i think it's clear that dave uses the phrase "as usual" for humorous effect, as it has no basis in reality ;)
