"Pray like it depends on God" -- it's evident in the last several posts that this process has been bathed in prayer by the team and as you said around the world; for certain at our house. We're excited with you.
remarkable, guys. what a fulfillment of incredibly committed work, prayer, excitement, frustration, delay, rush...It must feel a little bit like giving birth, to actually begin to see this thing become visible with names and faces and memories and a more concrete trajectory. I remember that that's a lot like what it felt in Addis Ababa to really begin to build the foundation. It's an exciting and scary process - the church needs steering and shepherding but also begins to take on a life and personality of its own. I'm just excited for you and for Eikon. The joy in the faces, the excitement, laughter in the pictures - really seemed like a beautiul first time together. Couldn't be more excited.
Dave and Katusk, I'm really excited for you guys and just so thankful for a great first weekend. I know the Lord is with you in all of this and the turnout you had is so remarkable. It looks like it was a blast. And the video is sweet, especially the scenes from the event as well as the city-scape.
PS-I hope you're enjoying your weather, it's Monday morning in Chicagoland and it's -11 degrees out, -30 with the windchill...bad case of the Mondays...
