all about the ceilidh

10 days and counting.

That's right, we're 10 days away from kicking this Church off with yes, a dance. Ceilidh's are traditional Scottish dances that are very popular here in the Edinburgh. The student union runs them every quarter and they sell out immediately.
We're planning to have dinner, videos, "pub quizzes", a short talk and dancing the remainder of the night. We're all pumped for the festivities to begin. We're already looking at having over a hundred people to attend the event, potentially going higher than we anticipated. Our prayer is to capture attention with a taste of Eikon: show our passion and vision for Eikon and have some fun on the side:)
As the next several days go on, we'll keep updating the process leading up to our official start. It's been just under 6 months of being here and we're only beginning to see what the Lord has in store for this Church.

Throw us up on your prayer list for the next week because this is the result of a few years of vision-casting going all the way back to an American, Irishman and a Scot feeling called to start something in the city of Edinburgh. We've got a long, exciting, challenging road ahead of us, so continue to pray for the leadership, particularly Tony and Yvonne, and for the people attending the Ceilidh.
